CCTV hardware components

Can be CCTV cameras, Video encoders, CCTV recorders and Servers.

CCTV Cameras

CCTV cameras physically can be internal or external, Fixed or pan tilt zoom (PTZ) , clearly visible or covert.

Cameras can be analog or IP based and high definition or low definition image capture.

Choosing hardware

Your requirement will dictate the cameras required 

IP Cameras

We always recommend IP Cameras as a starting point. Each camera has a unique IP address. This allows you to place them on your company network if required and they can be viewed securely anywhere you can open an Internet browser.

Video Encoders

If you have existing analog cameras your analog images can be converted into IP imagery by using a video encoder.

Image Storage

Images can be stored at camera level, at network level or off site on a server. New developments in CCTV image storage allow you to store images at camera level using a secure digital card.

CCTV in the Cloud

Your CCTV system can be hosted in the cloud. This means that captured images can be streamed back to and stored on servers based off site. This servers can be accessed via company network or Internet connection.
